We’ve all experienced “brain fog” at certain times in our lives, and staying active can help you avoid those morning or afternoon slowdowns. When you’re sitting at your desk for hours on end, it can be good to get up and move around. Getting the blood flowing can help your brain, and you can avoid both body and brain fatigue with just a few minutes of movement. If you’re constantly sedentary, then there’s a good chance that you’re going to have “foggy” moments more frequently.

Keep Stress at Bay

Stress can have a profoundly negative effect on the brain, and your ability to focus on or complete certain tasks can be sidelined due to the pressure brought on by stress. If you’re having trouble remembering certain things, such as instructions to a specific task or job, because you’re stressed, then give your brain a break and go for a walk or a quick run. Taking your mind off of what you’re doing can be a great way to reset, and exercise can release chemicals in your brain that cause stress hormone levels to drop.
