Now that we’re into October, teachers, students, and parents are hopefully feeling comfortable with their daily and weekly routines. Students, especially, are finally feeling like they have a handle on their new classes, and they’re feeling comfortable with new teachers and classmates. However, if a student is participating in extracurricular activities such as sports or an after-school club, then their studies might begin to suffer as the semester progresses.
At LearningRx, our brain training programs are designed for students of all ages. Those who play sports and those who are members of clubs can find new ways to focus on their assignments, both in the classroom and at home. Their extracurricular activities shouldn’t affect their schoolwork, and vice versa. If you’re interested in learning more about our education franchise opportunities, then contact us today!
Students Feeling Overwhelmed
Oftentimes, a student feels pressure to do well both in school and in whatever activity or sport they’ve decided to do or play. They can feel overwhelmed by the amount of homework they have each night, as well as doing well in practice so that they can play in the upcoming game. They may not be able to focus in the classroom, because they’re worried about the next competition, and they may feel tired at the end of the day because they’ve been practicing for two hours after school. With one-on-one training from your new learning center, a student can learn how to maintain focus in class, as well as access their memory when they’re at home studying for a test.
Time Management Is Key
If you have kids of your own, then you know how important time management can be. Each student has seven to eight hours of school each weekday, and then one to two hours of practice after school for their chosen sport or activity. They might be playing soccer, or they might be on the speech and debate team, but whatever the case may be, it’s important that they manage their schedule properly. If they know that they’ll be home by 6:00 p.m. each night, then they can eat dinner and get right to work on their assignment for the day. Creating a daily schedule can help immensely with time management, and a student will hopefully not feel so overwhelmed when they know what’s next on their itinerary.
